Currently, Geotecnia Patagonia has a ROLATEC drill rig, model RL-45, which is used for soil exploration drilling as well as the execution of Standard Penetration Tests (SPT). Thanks to the features of this equipment, the tests are carried out in a fully automated manner, thereby eliminating the human factor typically associated with manual testing.

The tests are performed in accordance with the Chilean Standard NCh 3364 – Geotechnics – Standard Penetration Test.
